The population of San Miguel is 100,000. There is a thriving large expatriate population of about 10,000 who live there on a full time or part time basis.
Recently San Miguel received the very prestigious United Nations designation as a “World Heritage Sight”. Needless to say, the entire San Miguel community is very proud that we have been given this world recognized designation!!!
Doctor Barrera’s private chauffeur will come to San Miguel for your pick-up and take you to the hospital located in Celaya on the day that your procedure is scheduled. Celaya is located 45 minutes from San Miguel.
Once you arrive at the privately owned specialty hospital, “Centro Medico Quirurgico”, you will have a private consult with Dr. Barrera and discuss your particular migraine case. You will then proceed with your pre-op lab work and EKG. Once he has the results of your testing he will commence with the surgical procedure. The procedure takes less than one hour to perform.
Dr. Barrera will address any and all questions or concerns that you might have during your office visit with him. Following your procedure you will then return to San Miguel, again by private chauffeur.
You MUST travel with a valid U.S. Passport to enter Mexico.
The bottom portion of the “Tourist Card” that the airline issues you, is to be retained. You MUST present this to the airline officials at the Leon Airport, at the time of your departure. It is a legal requirement that you have a U.S. Passport to re-enter the United States.
